ZZT -The Worm (Erol Alkan Extended Rework)

Have you heard the one about Erol Alkan? The humble 12 year old maestro-in-the-making who sneaks out the window of his parents flat to play gigs for a tenner? About the bearded studio-sorcerer worshipped by bands and DJ’s half his age as a living electronic idol? About the kid in his early 20s who’s founded that Trash night in London where they’re playing Bowie and basslines at the same time?

I heard that he invented the mash-up. I heard that he created the second coming of French Touch just by remixing Justice’s “Waters Of Nazareth”. I heard he brought guitar music back from the grave. No, it was electronic music. Or was it reggae? I heard he once revived a Roland 303 just by looking at it. Didn’t you hear? He’s bringing psychedelia back? Wait – I heard he’s bringing Disco back? Didn’t you hear?

Fuck yes! everything said about this english DJ is true! this expert in re-edits, which has since 1994 in the office surprises us with his latest work.

But that's not all, not too long ago we could listen the full remix of "Justice - Canon" wich is totally sick!! And a few days ago Gesaffelstein gave a big present to everybody with this remix of Erol and Boys Noize. Check it out!

Woha! here's another music video of Justice!! The song is On 'N' On, one of the weirdest tracks of their last album, directed by Alexandre Courtes and makes me remember the awesome video of DVNO, relatively speaking of course. Any way, it's a cool video!

JUSTICE - AUDIO VIDEO DISCO

Justice have announced that their second studio album will be titled 'Audio, Video, Disco' and has been given a release date of October 25.

The album is the follow-up to the French duo's debut release 'Cross', which came out back in 2007. It is confirmed to feature guest vocalists Ali Love, Diamond Nights' singer Morgan Phalen and Vincenzi Vendetta, who is part of the Midnight Juggernauts.

According to Xavier de Rosnay explained in an interview with Pitchfork, the album was recorded in Paris for eighteen months, and we especially liked the fact that they played everything on the album by themselves, but it took a long time to make it because they are not good players. And this is the reason cause of the album is mainly electronic...and we love their electronic french style!

'Audio, Video, Disco' will include the previously available single 'Civilization', which the duo debuted earlier this year in a Adidas advertisement that we showed you a few months ago.

Tracklisting for 'Audio, Video, Disco':
'Civilization'
'Ohio'
'Canon (Primo)'
'Canon'
'On'n'on'
'Brianvision'
'Parade'
'Newlands'
'Helix'
'Audio, Video, Disco'

A short but good snippet from the new Justice track called "Helix". You'll hear the full version on their new album 'AUDIO VIDEO DISCO' due october 25th.

And Para one first remix for Justice..

And of course, Audio Video Disco, the complete song.
