Take a few catchy pop hooks, infuse with a disco vibe, a smattering of
synthetic/funk tempos and some sweeping, movie melodies, spice it up
with a little club music to fill the dancefloor and you’ve got DatA’s
first out and out sound surfer album. This young French producer, just
23 years old, has mixed styles and influences, and has been able to
produce Skywriter (with the participation of Sébastien Grainger,
Breakbot, Benjamin Diamond and Bogue) after a few EPs and created his
own touch: a modern, digital version of the golden age of groove, pop
and dancefloor, lying somewhere between the disco revolution at the late
Seventies and the resolutely FM style of the Eighties. With 6 successes:Electric Fever (2009), Skywriter (LP) (2009), One In A Million (2009),Rapture (2008), Aerius Light (2007), Trop Laser (2006) and many many remixes behind him, the french producer is back with a remix for Beat Assailant...oh datA, we have missed these beats so much!!
It seems incredible that at this point this is the first post in which we mentioned directly to Moonlight Matters... Any way for those who do not know Moonlight Matters is what happens when the sun goes down, The mood is right, and creativity is set loose...
Sebastiaan Vandevoorde's style is hard to pinpoint but certainly has no lack of personality, his versatility is his strongest point and he's always able to adjust to the right mood for any kind of smart-witted melodic dance music with a great wow factor. His music won't just set your feet on fire and tear up a crowd, it will also make your mind tickle in a surprisingly emotional fashion.
Alex Mind is a name to remember these days when
it comes to pioneering. He is one of those responsible for a new stylist
electro house that is being followed by many worldwide. It is
responsible for many hits played by renowned djs and has made
partnerships with big names like Electrixx, Lazy Rich, Far Too Loud,
Will Bailey, Toby Emerson and many other great artists. This rapidly
emerging musician/producer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has been
developing his unique and intricate productions since 2005. His style is
recognized by his heavy basslines influenced by a variety of electronic
music sub-genres, with mixtures of melodic progressive atmospheres
merged with complextro electro house, and elements derived from techno.
If you listen harshness, beauty melodies and intelligent bangin drops in
music, you can just call it Alex Mind style.
After his last album PolisUppermost returns to the music scene. Uppermost is 17 when he discovers music production. He takes his
first steps through FL Studio and listens to some artists like deadmau5,
the Daft Punk duo or Rank-1, who bring him much inspiration. In the
space of three years, he learns to discover the functionalities and
tools of the program interface, and begins his first productions. He
then creates a melodic style which will specify every of his
compositions.
Afterwards, he decides to launch independently into music production
building an electro-house style that combines enthusiastic melodies and
strong electronic basses. His perseverance will lead some of his tracks
up to success, like “Equivocal”, third in Beatport electro-house chart
for a week, but also “Clipped”, out on Ministry Of Sound’s Clubbers
Guide 2010 Compilation.
Uppermost starts having a significant impact on the electronic music
community with his remix of Spencer & Hill entitled “303” but also
with songs like “Cake Shop Is Dope” or “Rox Sox”.
Play-listed by several famous artists like Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren or
also Steve Angello, his tracks are providing new opportunities to him.
Today, Uppermost compositions assemble quality, style and skills. At 21,
he runs ambitious projects and his constantly evolving productions
continue to carry listeners.
And now he present us his last work called Life Is A Fight, in the top on Beatport, and a new remix for Lemâitre.Short preview but you still will love it!
Whoa, what a big surprise! and no wonder since Lifelike just released another mixtape!
It's fucking great, srsly! only seeing the title and tracklisting and you should get an idea of how good is, but if you add the perfect links between every single track you'll be getting very close to what actually is... AWESOME!!

Hey, you know this group? I hope not (or not much), but this post would not make much sense ...
Cherokee is a French electronic group. Launched in 2011 by Terence N'Guyen and Dorian Miche, the duo heads for a house sound recalling the French electronic productions of the late nineties.
The adventure for this guys begins when they released independently their first single Onset followed by two other tracks.
They entered the family of french label Shiny Disco Club by offering a second single Take Care Of You, which came out with a video clip directed by Thomas Marin (Achangeinanchor).
Now we leave you with his last two jobs. The first is an incredible remix of a song known by everyone (I hope) and a mixtape to give you an idea of how these guys work.

Hi! here's another mixtape for today, even this one is only 15 minutes long.
From California comes Alex Noble and Luigi III, two disco-inspired producers who make up the electronic DJ duo, LBCK. The name, which can be interpreted to have a number of meanings, is most commonly hailed as “Long Beach City Kids.” Their unique style is highly versatile, but can be best described as the uncharted realm where big-room funk meets crafty synths, epic builds and viciously heavy drums.
LBCK is no newcomer to the stage. Their talent as producers has gained them world-wide recognition and the outrageous energy of their live performance has established their quickly growing fan base.
Ok, continuing with the mix maybe seems little, but it's great, and with unreleased tracks! Check it out!!

The duo from Manzur is preparinga movie forthe end of next January. We know that this is electro music blog, but this won't be common film. Like Thomas and Guy-Manuel did once (Interstella 5555), this retro-future electronic band will present a musical movie, with 13 original productions. Where they have decided to express their feeling about nostalgia, 80s, fantasy, sci fi and imaginations. Becausewho has notreturned to hischildhood watchingN.A.S.A.?
Like they said "Futurecop! is kind of like our alter ego, if you will, which allowed us
to escape the real world, to our childhood memories, when everything was
fun and innocent. When you’re a kid everything is new so everything is
exciting, and things like race, status, appearance, image don’t matter;
this is what we try to portray in our music. The Futurecop! project
attempts to capture this uplifting, dreamy vibe, with that “out of this
world” feeling."

Lifelike presents Roman D'amour "Make Love Tonight"
ROMAN D’AMOUR’s disco-tastic single, ‘Make Love Tonight’, is the latest release from hotly tipped French producer LIFELIKE’s cult imprint label, Computer Science.
The label was launched in 2010 featuring sought after Lifelike releases, ‘Love Emulator’, and ‘Silicon Love’. Having sold out a limited run of 7” through word of mouth alone, Lifelike put out Australian indie/future disco trio, Those Usual Suspects’, first EP and his last single, ‘Motion’ to great acclaim. The label is back with this brand new winter warmer, 'Make Love Tonight'.
ROMAN D’AMOUR consists of a talented Parisian teenager, Benoit Villemont, already making big splashes within the fêted French disco/house scene. Benoit’s first demo was made available as a free download on their blog and made it into the inbox of Computer Science’s A&R team.
Laurent/LIFELIKE finished his set with this very track at Los Angeles’ infamous Avalon Club to a truly raucous reaction and the deal was sealed.
Inspired by Thomas Bangalter’s (Daft Punk) early releases on Roulé records, ROMAN D’AMOUR are putting their own unique stamp on the genre and are having a whale of a time doing it. They love it and so will you.
This original package comes with two stellar remixes. LIFELIKE’s Re-Edit, stays close to the original but turns up THAT big bassline right up the Richter scale. And London based dubstep master Peo De Pitte delivers a first class party monster.
In these last two days we have had to listen a lot of crap on the net, 90% songs related to 'dubstep' because now is the style that is more fashionable and everyone argues to dubstep just playing around with synthesizers ... sorry but that's not dubstep, that is called 'play with synthesizers'. However if one of 100 songs appears like this (if only one forward), it is worth it..as we have said the best is yet to come!
First to delight our ears is Nadisko who welcome us to a harder type of disco with the remix of We Kiss You - Love Addiction
COMIC STRIPS is just 19 years old, but he is one of the best Electro House Producer. And he demonstrate it again with the teaser of his new EP
To close this post the smashing duo from Rio De Janiero Felguk is here with a new single 'Bassive'. In their own words: 'Bassive' incorporates a wonky melodic breakdown before tearing the roof off with a signature naughty, crunchy synth that Felguk has become so well known for. Keep them loud!
For last, what happens if the fountain of youth is actually to be found on a rooftop in Brooklyn where Treasure Fingers is playing records? Watch this golden rooftop clip to find out, and revel in the restorative properties of Treasure Finger's latest phased disco delight.
Welcome to another interview in our section Let me 'introduce you to.
From Melbourne, Australia, we bring you to KREAP!
Noizebusters: Would you mind introducing yourself to the readers and how
would you describe your music?
KREAP: hi readers, i'm Ben Crea aka Kreap aka Djeep & Starplayerz (with Tony Crea) & some other aliases from so long ago i have forgotten the names(sorry)
NB: What are your influences/music background and what or who might have
played a role in shaping your sound?
K: well my dad & his band were my first influences and the main reason i
got into music from such a young age. I grew up with a big beatles
influence and i loved the beach boys and ELO. as a kid i thought the
xanadu soundtrack was incredible. I was just always very receptive to
a well written melody i think and later i began to focus more on the
sound and energy of certain tracks. I got into hip hop around 1984 and
italo disco and electro through my uncle which made a big impression
on me. I was singing on some tv commercials as a young kid and was
introduced to drum machines in downtime and we got one at home as
well. i was programming beats on machines around the age of 8. my dad
bought me a mattel drum machine with the pads and i was really hooked
on this since. I'd have to say jackie has been a big influence on me
jackie over the last 5 or so years & lately guys like DJ EQ and the guys
on the stardust roster. Armand Van Helden,
DJ Sneak , Daft Punk, Icube, DJ Falcon, etienne de crecy, Alan Braxe,
Mr Oizo & many more all are my favorite producers.
NB: Do you prefer writing original tracks or remixing and why?
K: No i dont have a preference for either. Whenever I work on a remix
i feel like ive just produced a new song. Alot of what i remix is vocal
based and i very rarely listen to the original version just so i can focus
on the way the song flows from the melody in the vocal. Its like someone
came to me with a song and played it on an acoustic guitar and asked
if i can help them produce it. I enjoy being a producer in general and
the only change from remixes to originals is i am a writer and
producer but both have essentially the same work flow and buzz from
making music.
NB: Are you involved in any other projects or do you produce
music only as KREAP?
K: Yes there is the Djeep project still with my cousin Tony Crea for our
old label Cosmetic Records. I'm messing around with a couple of things
with Oskar from stardust records & Jackie is always one of my
collaborators and occasional contributor for bits and pieces, same
go's with Loop from syncdrifters (both very close friends of mine from
Warsaw). I'll hopefuly be doing some collabs with DJEQ in the near
future as well.
NB: What would you say is your biggest music achievement/highlight so far?
K: Its all been 1 big ass blurry messed up highlight for 20 years. I
think signing a bootleg remix for foster the people for Sony and then
wining that remix contest on indaba music was a double fantasy come
true. kinda epic to get paid twice for 1 job. Its Bi - Winning.
NB: Who would you dream of sharing the stage with?
K: Jeannie from i dream of Jeannie......... to be quite honest i have
little desire to be on a stage, i'm a studio boffin type dude and not
really looking for that kind of instant reaction from a crowd. If it
was all very planned and well rehearsed and easily reproduced live i
would consider it. but the majority of work i do is not a live medium.
It would be a bit of a lie to go out and press play on a sequencer and
make a few tweaks on a synth here and there. I would like to share a
stage with people who are rehearsed, on time for the sound check and
ready to kick some ass.
NB: Have you always been into
electronic music or did you
ever play in
other kind of band?
K: yeah i had desired to have a
band and made some early steps
to get one
going but didnt really have much
luck with it. i still write songs
and
hope to record some alternative
projects to Kreap. Probably
Jeff Lynne
sounding stuff because i kinda
lean towards his style of songwriting.
NB: What would you say is the
most memorable on-stage/backstage
moment and why?
K: I did some spontaneous
stuff back at a club called
F4 in melbourne
for a new years eve gig. Backstage once i met Thomas Bangelter and
chatted to him over the course of the evening watching Doc Martin dj
his ass off. Homework was one of the biggest albums in the world at
the time and he didnt speak much english but he tried hard to
communicate. He reminded me a lot of the gentlemen i knew at the
french consulate, very polite and a very cool guy.
NB: What are you currently working on? Should we expect to listen to a
KREAP release during 2011-2012?
K: I'm currently remixing for Oskar's new EP , DJEQ, Faker, Makdett ,
Marcy Playground, Foster the People,
Metric & ill have EP's for Stardust Records and Mikitasky as well.
Possibly some more remixes for Sony Canada & USA and EMI Canada &
Australia as well but i'm not sure of the time bracket. Depends how
much sleep ill get between now and 2012....
NB: Are you signed on any label at the moment?
K: Stardust & Mikitasky are releasing my original EP's and singles.
Also an e.p for a label called Punchout which is
part of Homebreakin records.
NB: What other plans do you have for 2011-2012?
K: Well one exciting project will be in Toronto working with my good
friend John Wozniak from Marcy Playground in his new studio. This will
be very much a hybrid kind of project with us co writing and
producing some songs. But there will be a string of collabs , remixes,
tracks and crazy antics to follow. stay tuned!
NB: What are you listening to lately? Any tracks/artists you recommend?
K: I'm really impressed with the new stuff stardust sent me to listen to
so i recommend keeping an eye out for that. I love jackies tracks and
play these often. DJEQ has lots of good music id like to mention as
well. so so much. i listen to heaps of old disco, funk, soul, italo,
electro , pop, rock, jazz mainly using the power of the web to
discover stuff i never found in record stores here in australia or in
my cousins record collection (because its so god damn big).
NB: Something else you’d like to mention and we forgot to ask?
K: not really, thanks for featuring me on your blog and all the best!
[After that Jon Lajoie's lyrics...] See you again guys! today I bring great music. So let's start!
In the first place I want to show you the last work of Burns. A produccer and DJ, from London who makes a great electro music that he characterized like "European Sex Music".
Enjoy!
The new EP "Instant Party" by LBCK has come out from La Valigetta Records and with that fresh electronic sounds wants to keep the party all summer.
This EP have the collaborations of The Phantom's Revenge, Strip Steve and Hijack. DJs who have remixed the principal theme "Instant Party".
After touring and concerts Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo has been working. and here's the proof.
With the vocals of the Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi, this song bangs! Definitely Punk Rock Disco. Check it out below.
