"Simply Dead" was the last clue that we have about Digitalism, that track will be included in the next compilation of DJ-Kicks that is provided by the band (listen it below).

Digitalism - A New Drug (Next DJ-Kicks)

Before landing in Australia last week for the tour Groovin the Moo, the German duo Digitalism has been busy working and mixing the latest edition, so far, of the highly respected series of DJ-Kicks mixes. In addition to tracks from Vitalic, Whomadewho or Autotune, the album will contain remixes of Sail Away by The Rapture and of Alicudi by Gai Barone made ​​by the German couple. Although the most exciting of this new release is the presence of six original Digitalism's tracks. Digitalism - Sleepwalker (original mix)

Currently the great german duo, Digitalism are touring arround the world, and although as recently said in an interview for 8tracks (an internet radio and social networking site revolving around the concept of streaming user-curated playlists Consisting of at least 8 tracks) to the quiestion "Are You Able to produce new music on the road?"

We don’t like it but we get used to it. When we have time off and we’re DJing we’re trying new material out and see how the audience reacts. It’s cool that people are sometimes realize that we’re playing something new, or they don’t realize it and the reaction is really great. It’s important sometimes to DJ to see how the stuff is working.

Indeed they are still producing new material, "Sleepwalker" is the proof. Taking a touch to his latest album, with a quiet base and vocals makes it sound even a little indie. But very good!

                 

We also can't ignore that, in the interview, Jens qualified their albums from this perspective:

The new one is a bit more down to earth. We also thought if the first was more spaced out and the second was on the ground, maybe the third will be really underground.

I think that it's great hear things like this, in the variety is the fun, isn't it?. I can't wait to hear these new sounds!

Some remixes for today!

Hey! I've seen lately that on the blog there's not all the remixes that should! so let's go with small compilation.

The first remix of the night is of the track "Thony Ritz - Moonwalker" by The Phantoms Revenge. It's a little crap that it's only a snippet, but enjoy any way the funk touch that only this brilliant french DJ can do! 



Now another preview, but still an awesome track. I'm talking about the last ermix of our friend Owl Vision the king of the death electro!



After this warm up let's listen Digitalism. Yeah, the german duo aren't dead and some days even upload new stuff. Personally I prefer their hard remixes, this one is a little chill, but recognize their merit.



Our next remix comes by the hand of Go Go Bizkitt! He form part of a new generation of disco house producers that are bringing a sugar rush to funky music with big basslines, frantic sampling & a hell of a lot of fun for the floors. Listen his remix of "Kid Goodman - Last Night Theme" and think like me.

A digital surprise!

Digitalism, one of our favorite bands, was playing a few days ago on a radio program from UK known as Kiss Presents. My last experience of Digitalism playing on a Radio show was the Essential Mix of Radio One, on the BBC, and personally one of the best sessions that I've heard. This one is pretty awesome too, now I think that I need to listen 4 or 5 times more to fall in love completly. The tracklist is not available but most of the tracks that included this mix aren't new, so enjoy!!

Let's start with some dubstep, F.O.O.L is remixing "Antichrist - Night Shadow" and this is the result:

Our next remix, is Neus remixing Digitalism, one of their last tracks, but dubstep style. I like this!

And to end this post of remixes, Futurecop! is the last participant. This remix is not his best work, but is good to finish remember this band specialized in retro-space music. Bye!
