Madeon - BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra Live in Hull

This French dance wunderkind Madeon wows the crowd a few days ago at Hull City Hall with a spectacular (maybe spectacular is not enough to express the way that this guy selects the tracks for his mixes) set during Pete Tong's show. Seems easy to launch so many samples with a huge mix of basses and make it sounds good but not... f**king electro Mozart you are awesome!
Dowload free here the last set from the youngest prodigy of electronic music scene!

Handbraekes – #1 [Boys Noize + Mr. Oizo]

The beginning of this year has given us quite a surprise, certainly one that stands out is the union of two great geniuses of electronic music, Mr. Oizo & Boys Noize. We could hear his debut last year with the track Callgirls will come included with your EP cleverly titled "# 1".

If you enjoyed this insane mix of acid german and french electro click here to buy it on Beatport!!

Feed Me & Gemini - Whiskers

Feed Me and Gemini have joined forces to make a new track. Gemini, dubstep expert has given his clean touch and powerful at once, while Feed Me has managed to add his caraceristics with bright treble sounds that make the track a masterpiece.

Lemâitre - Relativity 1 (EP)

The new EP of Lemâitre is on schedule. In the last post where we talked about them we saw 2 of the songs from their EP "Relativity 1". Now let's see the rest!

ZZT -The Worm (Erol Alkan Extended Rework)

Have you heard the one about Erol Alkan? The humble 12 year old maestro-in-the-making who sneaks out the window of his parents flat to play gigs for a tenner? About the bearded studio-sorcerer worshipped by bands and DJ’s half his age as a living electronic idol? About the kid in his early 20s who’s founded that Trash night in London where they’re playing Bowie and basslines at the same time?

I heard that he invented the mash-up. I heard that he created the second coming of French Touch just by remixing Justice’s “Waters Of Nazareth”. I heard he brought guitar music back from the grave. No, it was electronic music. Or was it reggae? I heard he once revived a Roland 303 just by looking at it. Didn’t you hear? He’s bringing psychedelia back? Wait – I heard he’s bringing Disco back? Didn’t you hear?

Fuck yes! everything said about this english DJ is true! this expert in re-edits, which has since 1994 in the office surprises us with his latest work.

But that's not all, not too long ago we could listen the full remix of "Justice - Canon" wich is totally sick!! And a few days ago Gesaffelstein gave a big present to everybody with this remix of Erol and Boys Noize. Check it out!

Some remixes for today!

Hey! I've seen lately that on the blog there's not all the remixes that should! so let's go with small compilation.

The first remix of the night is of the track "Thony Ritz - Moonwalker" by The Phantoms Revenge. It's a little crap that it's only a snippet, but enjoy any way the funk touch that only this brilliant french DJ can do!

Now another preview, but still an awesome track. I'm talking about the last ermix of our friend Owl Vision the king of the death electro!

After this warm up let's listen Digitalism. Yeah, the german duo aren't dead and some days even upload new stuff. Personally I prefer their hard remixes, this one is a little chill, but recognize their merit.

Our next remix comes by the hand of Go Go Bizkitt! He form part of a new generation of disco house producers that are bringing a sugar rush to funky music with big basslines, frantic sampling & a hell of a lot of fun for the floors. Listen his remix of "Kid Goodman - Last Night Theme" and think like me.

And to end this post full of extra remixes for the blog, a French masterpiece by Yuksek. Please enjoy it because it worth it alot!!

Let me introduce you to 'TheFatRat'

Very welcome to another Noizebuster's interview. Today we have a special rodent  who is opening his way to the top from Germany. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to TheFatRat

Noizebusters: Would you mind introducing yourself to the readers and how would you describe your music?
TheFatRat: People call me “Ze german disco brazza in da glitchy electro house”

NB: what is your real name? and why did you choose the name TheFatRat like your musical name?
TFR: TheFatRat comes from my nickname in school. There I was just called “The Rat”. Don’t know exactly where it came from. Maybe from the fact that I was just hard to kill. But it might also be because of the length of my tail.
My real name? I really would love to tell you but I just forgot.

NB: What are your influences/music background and what or who might have played a role in shaping your sound?
TFR:I get a lot of inspiration from David Guetta. Whenever I do a track I ask myself: “What would David Guetta do now?” And then I do the exact opposite.

NB: Hahaha it is a damn good way! Because who didn't like the first Guetta? and who don't vomit with the actual Guetta? Do you prefer writing original tracks or remixing and why?
TFR: I prefer original tracks because the freedom is greater. Although it’s also a lot of fun to completely fuck up other peoples songs.

NB: If you could pick anyone, whom would you pick for your next collaboration?
TFR: GLaDOS

NB: Who introduced you in electro? Did you have any mentor to whom you want to say hello?
TFR: I grew up with electronic music in germany, where it has been popular for decades and I could not name anyone as my mentor. Although I learned a lot from Master Yoda when I watched Star Wars.

NB: He teached all of us the power of the force, great Master, better friend. Who is, in your opinion, the enemy public of music numer one?
TFR: Honestly: I don’t think there is ANY bad music out there. There is music I like and music that I don’t like of course. But we all should learn to tolerate other peoples taste.

NB: If your studio was on fire what would be the first thing to save?
TFR: My laptop is my studio. And if that is on fire, I don’t think there is anything to save...

NB: Who would you dream of sharing the stage with?
TFR: Dream? Freddy Mercury. Best performer ever in my opinion.

NB: Have you always been into electronic music or did you ever play in other kind of band?
TFR: Band, Choir, Jazzband, Orchestra. I’ve had it all. But EDM has been my big love for a long time already.

NB: Do you prefer working only with computers/sequencers or do you get your hands dirty playing and recording instruments? Do you use samples and what’s your opinion on sampling and copyright?
TFR: So far I did everything in the computer. But that might change at some point. About sampling and copyright: Everybody should think about “Would I like to be treated that way?”. In the end you gotta ask your conscience.

NB: What programms do you prefer to use: Ableton, Traktor,...? And why?
TFR: I work on Ableton now and it’s pretty cool. But I gotta say one thing. LOGIC SUCKS BIG TIME! I worked on it for 2 years and it was one of the worst decisions in my life.

NB: Good to know, and your favourite song, what is music for you?
TFR: “Somebody to love” from queen would be my favorite song. And for me, music is the language of our souls.

NB: we have a section called 'New memories' to talk about the most epic tracks and albums that everybody should listen at least once...so what is, in your opinion, the biggest one?
TFR: What really inspired me recently, was the remix that Knife Party did of Porter Robinsons Unison.

NB: And what would you say is the biggest music achievement so far?
TFR: In music history? Bach, for being the first guy who used all root Keys.

NB: are you introducing any new sounds in your compositions? any experimental style has a special influence in your songs?
TFR: I started to play around with Moombathon recently. Of course I gave it a funky disco flavor. Something like that might be on my next EP.

NB: Do you have any tour planned?
TFR: Not a real tour yet. But my first gigs are getting booked at the moment.

NB: We hope Madrid will be included in those gigs. What are you listening to lately? Any tracks/artists you recommend?
TFR: Noisia is just insane. I think if Beethoven would have had a DAW, he would have sounded like that.

NB: what is for you the most underestimated band in the electro music scene?
TFR: This guy here. I think he will be big soon:
Killed It - The Neck Breaker (Original Mix) by Killed It

Sounds great man! It was our pleasure to have you here and hope hear from you soon! Till then here our readers have a little bit of you your electro banger beats. Including your massive set on Ministry of Sound Radio last month and your last remix of 'Foster The People - Don't Stop'. Enjoy TheFatRat!!

Zedd #1

It hasn’t been even two weeks since he dropped “Slam The Door” and his remix of Skrillex‘s “Breakin’ A Sweat” has already appeared. This remix has become instantly one of the best remixes from the Skrillex's label OWSLA, and cause all of this Zedd is currently the number one on beatport.

The new year bring us a new Zedd, amplifying the genre dubstep that will take over as people transition away from heavy dubstep and more fast paced dance infused house music. Here he totally changes the sound of this popular dubstep mix and make it a hard hitting electro banger. This year looks good for the progressive hard heavy electro DJ and producer. This isn’t the official studio version, but it is not far from it.

And talking about the #1 on beatport here is the reason of this fact: 'Slam The Door'

News from Deadmau5 & co

On December 2010 Joel Thomas Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, released his fifth album 4×4=12 on Ultra Records. Coming in at track number 7, ‘Cthulu Sleeps’ contained a hypnotic flurry of strong wobbles that paired with Deadmau5 gritty bassline, created a very strong and aggressive impressions on the ears of fans everywhere.

With ‘Cthulhu Sleeps’ being almost 13 months years old now, just yesterday Deadmau5 released a similar yet incredably sinister follow up called ‘Cthulhu Dreams’. Most of the soft strings were removed leaving behind a strongly seductive and heavily filtered bass that quite frankly sounds like the evil twin of the original. And IT'S FREE!

The second part of this post is about an (everything points that will be awesome!) album coming in late January by the hand of the man in the picture below.

Moguai and mau5trap join forces to deliver the exquisite 'Mpire' EP -- the first single from forthcoming 'Mpire' LP virtuous Producer and tech-specialist Moguai is without question on the form of his career. Out the 16th January 2012, on mau5trap Records, comes the very first installment from his flawless forthcoming long player; the effortlessly stunning powerhouse single - Mpire!

Moguai has always had a knack for creating intelligent, original and multilayered soundscapes and Mpire is certainly no exception. Captivating, melodic and with driving swells throughout, it epitomizes what the majestic German does best. With a gloriously pounding energy that continues through two completely different, but equally engaging breakdowns, this juggernaut of a release is testament to the fine caliber of the author, and is as good an example as any of a musician at their peak. It's Moguai's best yet!

As the mau5trap regular gears up to deliver his insanely hyped artist album -- also titled Mpire -- on the 30th January, electronica-heads must wait just a little bit longer. With this fresh little piece of Moguai gold to keep us amused in the meantime however, these next two weeks will no doubt fly by. Not long now!
This brilliant track isn't free but you can buy it here. Any way, enjoy it!

The Bad Touch - Gigi Barocco Bootleg

Who does not remember those monkeys dancing across the streets of Paris? Gigi Barocco help you to remember with this last work.
Luigi Barone, decided a long time ago to put all his colorful production into a brand new fresh electro-house project called Gigi Barocco.  This bootleg is just the last proof that the project has been a massive success.

Luigi has received support and acclaim from such industry legends as Armand Van Helden, Benny Benassi and Cassius.

And we hope
does not happen the same what happened to his first bootleg. His bootleg of the Ice Mc 90's hit "Think About The Way", which initially started life as a free download on his Myspace page and on his consequent mixtape entitled "Pass The Butter No.1", however the popularity of the track was so great that Zooland Records decided to clear the sample and release the track during the summer of 2009. So let's enjoy this work while it is free

LBCK - Mix for one year anniversary with "Our House Records"

Hi! here's another mixtape for today, even this one is only 15 minutes long.

From California comes Alex Noble and Luigi III, two disco-inspired producers who make up the electronic DJ duo, LBCK. The name, which can be interpreted to have a number of meanings, is most commonly hailed as “Long Beach City Kids.” Their unique style is highly versatile, but can be best described as the uncharted realm where big-room funk meets crafty synths, epic builds and viciously heavy drums.

LBCK is no newcomer to the stage. Their talent as producers has gained them world-wide recognition and the outrageous energy of their live performance has established their quickly growing fan base.

Ok, continuing with the mix maybe seems little, but it's great, and with unreleased tracks! Check it out!!

Kill The Noise - Dying (Antichrist Remix)

Antichrist, our alien/cyborg friends, are back with an electro/dubstep remix of Kill The Noise - Dying. The best thing is that is free!

A digital surprise!

Digitalism, one of our favorite bands, was playing a few days ago on a radio program from UK known as Kiss Presents. My last experience of Digitalism playing on a Radio show was the Essential Mix of Radio One, on the BBC, and personally one of the best sessions that I've heard. This one is pretty awesome too, now I think that I need to listen 4 or 5 times more to fall in love completly. The tracklist is not available but most of the tracks that included this mix aren't new, so enjoy!!

Star Wars - Binary Suns (Coyote Kisses Remix)

Coyote Kisses is the brainchild of two longtime childhood friends, Bryce Bresnan and Joseph Sussingham, both hailing from the landlocked city of Lakeland, Florida. Formed during the summer of 2008, Coyote Kisses began as an electro-pop project, exclusively combining vocals of the two artists with electronic audio hardware, piano and guitar to create a live-performance based band. As the summer came to an end, Coyote Kisses was put on hiatus, as both members headed off to separate universities to pursue their academic interests.

Fast forward to early 2010- Coyote Kisses, from their sporadic communication over the year apart, decided to switch gears and start focusing on composing dance music. Investing in software technology, the band's music was reborn into its current dance-like sound.

While their earlier compositions genre jump through several varying dance categories, lately, the two have been producing harder and heavier tracks. Utilizing complex rhythmic techniques inspired from several glitch hop and dub step influences, Coyote Kisses has started producing what they see as the reconciliation of the two. While the music itself is difficult to categorize specifically, many have given it an aptly named pseudo-label: "glitch-step".

Check out the new remix they just did of ‘Jedi Theme’ from Star Wars and see what all the fuss, hype and shouting is about.

Have you met Lemâitre?

Lemâitre is a Norwegian indie-electronic duo who formed in the summer of 2010. Together, Ketil & Ulrik create raging disco beats, mixed with soft synthphrases and gripping melodies. When playing live they combine live instruments, not so live instruments and good old live vocals. In their short career, Lemâitre has gained a following from all over the world.
The Friendly Sound EP was released at the end of 2010, and the duo are currently working on new material and playing shows wherever the music takes them. Lemaitre is influenced by artists like Justice, Phoenix, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Noisia, Ratatat and Röyksopp.

You can juzge by yourself listening this couple of masterpieces  from their last EP, a very classy careful electro with perfect melodies that sometimes had remembered me to the best Röyksopp.

But that's not all, the best thing is that they are preparing a new EP that will be out on January 20!
This video is also a teaser to their new live stage. for this, they  have designed and built this thingy with help from some friends. In addition they are looking for more help to make more animations.
