Mix for J'aime Le Dubstep

The Killabits came last year with strong dubstep basslines in their remixes, but 2011 is being being their biggest year to date. The best proof of it is the new mix they have done for J'aime Le Dubstep including tons of their new unreleased tunes and some exclusive. Download

Now they are currently working on both blazing new Dubstep beats as well as collaborations with some of Toronto's best musicians. But at the same time they still keep their weekly co-created event 'Bassmentality' where have played some known names like Nero, Skrillex and Zed's Dead (the other creators of this event)

Fake Blood's Minimixes

Today Fake Blood has posted on his SoundCloud 3 minimixes that recorded for Annie Mac's Radio 1 show.
The first one was done in 2005, under the name Touché.
Instead of doing a mix made up of actual records, Fake Blood decided to do a 5 minute track, but made up SOLELY of samples taken from the so-called "Video Nasties" (ie: horror films from the 70's and early 80's, mostly Italian and American, that were banned in the UK up til the BBFC reviewed the decisions after James Ferman retired), and a couple of other related movies.
Every sound in this mix is from these films - even the drums.



The second was in December 2008.

Lifelike presents Roman D'amour "Make Love Tonight"
ROMAN D’AMOUR’s disco-tastic single, ‘Make Love Tonight’, is the latest release from hotly tipped French producer LIFELIKE’s cult imprint label, Computer Science.

The label was launched in 2010 featuring sought after Lifelike releases, ‘Love Emulator’, and ‘Silicon Love’. Having sold out a limited run of 7” through word of mouth alone, Lifelike put out Australian indie/future disco trio, Those Usual Suspects’, first EP and his last single, ‘Motion’ to great acclaim. Free Moombahton from BeatauCue and LAZRtag

First of all what the fuck is moombahton? according to Dillon Francis its music to fuck to! but if you don't understand the whole concept, here's a bit of history... Moombahton is a popular genre of electro music invented by musician/DJ Dave Nada in the fall of 2010 in Washington, DC. Nada created the neologism "moombahton" to describe the new genre. "Moombah" comes from the title of a popular track that was remixed by DJ Chuckie. Nada slowed the tracked down to 108 bpms, which is close the the bpms of reggaeton. Hence, Nada adopted the "ton" from "reggaeton" and appended it to the track title "Moombah" to generate "moombahton." This style is growing dramatically in popularity around the globe, spawning mulitple subgenres as it does so. The last to try their luck in this style are BeatauCue and LAZRtag, who bring you their Moombah sounds in free download!

Avicii - Levels (Cazzette NYC Bootleg)

A few days ago we heard, in the Annie Mac show, the last Cazzette bootleg. Remixing nothing more and nothing less than 'Levels' by Avicci. The Cazzette duo consist of young Swedes Alexander Björklund and Sebastian Furrer,  who made his debut as Cazzette with a remix of Sweet Dreams in early June.  NEUS and Justice lauch remix contest. Gael NEUS proposes his track called 'Feel That' for his EP. This EP will be released near February on NEUS Digital Records. KNIFE PARTY LIVE

Knife Party is no other than Pendulum's Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen who leave their guitars at home and bring the heaviest face melting electronic beats and bass to the dance floor. They mix up everything from dark house to twisted dubstep, without holding back from any boundaries! As Pendulum they already sold more than one million albums worldwide. With Knife Party on the other hand, they already did remixes for other big names, such as Swedish House Mafia and Nero. Their first EP is scheduled for release in September, with another Swedish House Mafia co-operation about we will talk about at the end of this article.

It is time for remixes! It has been a long time since we posted our first 'It Is About Remixes!'. The reason is that we only post in this section the very best and newest  in the music scene. 6 master pieces just for your ears!

Laurent Lupidi and Jeremy Johnson (Loo and Placido) have made remixes blending everything from the Chemical Brothers to Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, The Ramones, Technotronic, Public Enemy or The Beastie Boys, and this 3 years before we even started to hear about mash-ups or bootlegs. The best is yet to come !

In these last two days we have had to listen a lot of crap on the net, 90% songs related to 'dubstep' because now is the style that is more fashionable and everyone argues to dubstep just playing around with synthesizers ... sorry but that's not dubstep, that is called 'play with synthesizers'. However if one of 100 songs appears like this (if only one forward), it is worth it..as we have said the best is yet to come!

First to delight our ears is Nadisko who welcome us to a harder type of disco with the remix of We Kiss You - Love Addiction

COMIC STRIPS is just 19 years old, but he is one of the best Electro House Producer. And he demonstrate it again with the teaser of his new EP

Neon Stereo Feat. Siri - Massive Bass

Would you like a shity track just because deadmau5 or Skrillex made it? Your answer is no, and you are right because all you need is a massive bass! Neon Stereo present his last work ft Siri. It is just the preview of the single but you will love it anyway.

From their studio in Sydney they composed this futuristic electronic single that explores Siri's trademark synthetic diva style. "Siri is a star in her own right, I'm just glad she's into electronic music as much as I am" Neon Stereo says.

But Siri is not the first of his collaborations. In his producions we can find remixes for Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Andy Caldwell and DJ Ricky Stone and many more. After all these collabs now the Siri’s synthesised monotone just can make it better.
