Let me introduce you to SNAPCRACK

Hi again and welcome to another interview in our section 'Let me introduce you to'. We have the chemical pleasure to have with us to SnapCrack and their monster music!!

Noizebusters: Where do u come from? What are the names of the members of your band?
SnapCrack: We are Laurent and Teddy, two 29 year olds, born and raised in the South of France.

NB:Where does the name SNAPCRACK come from?
SC:"Snackcrack" is the name of a track of an artist we loved (FKY) a couple years ago. But mostly, we called ourselves SnapCrack because "Snap Crackle Pop!", just sounds good !

NB: So could you tell us a little bit about the origins of it? Why did u decided start with this band?
SC: We used to make faster, more underground music... and we wanted to come back to something more melodious, more interesting to make, all the while maintaining a violent aspect and keeping it dancefloor.

NB: who music or artists have influenced you?
SC: We were much influenced by arstists in the free party scene from the beginning of the years 2000. Then, as we got older, other artists like Para One, Tepr, Toxic Avenger, Sebastian made us want to do this kind of music ourselves. And we also listen to a lot of hip hop at home.


NB: Have thought about doing collaborations? With other bands I mean do u have plans in the future?
SC: We have an EP called "Won't Hold Back" featuring an incredible english Mc Loc-e, and with some pretty awesome remixes wich will be out very soon on Thaft records. A remix for Spunker on Jet Set Trash will be coming out soon. And an original track we did with the italian duo Vegamoore, whose EP will be out on the label Freakz Me Out, with surprises remixes.

NB: Could u tell us a little bit more about your last track 'Over My Dead Body' ?
SC: Concerning "Over My Dead Body", we started off with a fat dark sinth, and worked on it a bit. But it didn't really characterize our style. So we went further into the track and stuck in a nice horror ambiance and put in online for free downloading.
